10 things to do at home when self-isolating

I have been WFH for 10 months now, so I am very used to being in my own company and finding new ways to entertain myself whilst at home. So I thought that, as more and more people are beginning to self isolate because of the Coronavirus, I would share some of my favourite things to do when staying in.

1) Catching up on Netflix/your movie bucket list/YouTube videos. Some of my fave shows on Netflix at the moment are: Friends (obvs), How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family and Sabrina. On a side note, one show I really don't get that everyone is loving atm is Love is Blind - if you're into this, can you let me know what you think is so good about it?

2) Doing something creative: painting, calligraphy or starting a blog...

3) Journaling/starting a bullet journal.

4) Exercise: As you might know from my previous post I have been doing a Pilates teacher training course, but I do also do yoga and other at home workouts. Find my faves here: Favourite at home workouts from around the web.

5) Self care: bubble bath, meditation, catching up on sleep, painting your nails...

6) Catching up on your reading list.

7)  Trying some new recipes: find some of mine here and on my second Instagram account @wellnesswithsophie.

8) Online (window) shopping. For the past year I've been trying to cut down on my shopping and unnecessary buying, however, I've still been online window shopping and planning out a few new pieces I need for summer.

9) Small at home renovation projects. We've been doing our kitchen and bathroom (as per my previous post) and it has been the perfect time for us to stay in and focus on sanding/painting and general DIY around the house.

10) Spring cleaning/clearing out and reorganising your wardrobe.

Would also love to hear any of your tips/things to do whilst at home!

Great ideas! It is also a great time to reconnect with family and spend quality time that is missed with our hectic schedules and lives. Thanks for sharing!

Very easy to handle ideas. Feeling stuck inside is the worst. It's nice to have a list of ways I can entertain myself without too much prep work. We're doing some spring cleaning this week as well.

Great ideas! I'd also add catching up on text messages with friends. Just because the virus keeps us from being together in person doesn't mean we have to lose connection the whole time :) I love the Telegram app because you can leave voice messages and respond to them when you have time.

Also finding a new mobile app game to play. Or if you're a video game player, catching up on games you never finished yet.

I love this. I feel that, when you are used to doing something, suddenly having nothing to do can be daunting. And since it is hard to think when we are intimidated, I love how helpful your list is in offering suggestions and getting ideas flowing.

These are all such great ideas. I unfortunately still have to work though, I am in healthcare. I wish I could stay home!
