When I lived in London spending Sunday afternoon wandering around Waitrose and Wholefoods was one of the highlights of my week (I know, I'm sad). Now I live in Sweden I mostly do all my shopping online, as it's more convenient, and I've lost the love for spending hours in the supermarket. However, I do still love planning and cooking meals. So I thought I would share my top tips for making the process a bit easier and more organised...

OK, so I know it's a bit late in January to be doing this, but I thought that I would regret it in the future if i didn't - as I love to look back on these things and have a lil walk down memory lane. Just a warning though... it's a long one, so you might need a cup of tea before you start... The reason it's taken me so long to sit down and write it out is because, the end of 2019, and the start of 2020 so far have been SO busy - you will be able to see why further on in this post... I'm glad I managed to post it in January... Just... As I stared to look back I realised I had written quite a few previous posts about my life events, so there are a plethora of them linked below too.

I have a love/hate relationship with Charlotte Tilbury makeup. I love the packaging and (most of) the formulas, but I just can't help thinking that sometimes it's not worth the price. I've found that some products have been firm favourites, however, a few have been disappointing. Here is my run-through of a 'full face' of Tilbury bestsellers and my thoughts on them...

It has been 4 months since we moved from East London to West London and so far so good. I've been renting since I was 18 and along the way I have lived in many different homes: student houses, shared houses, furnished houses, part-furnished flats, unfurnished flats... you catch my drift. In our latest flat we decided to go non-furnished 'to build up our collection' of furniture.

Along the way I have come up with a few of my favourite ways to make my usually tiny space, feel more cosy and 'my own'.

 



Sketch London has the perfect ambience for a cosy lunch date: the mood gives off a romantic Parisian vibe with the low lighting and pink velvet booths.

Firstly, you need to choose your date. I chose this guy - lucky chap...



... you then you have to pick the afternoon tea you are after, we naturally went for the champagne. You also get a selection of every tea under the sun to choose from.


Whilst waiting for the sommelier to serve the champagne you get time to admire some of the many sketches on the walls and, if you're me, the flooring.


Next they will bring out your tea - you don't have to touch the teapot once if you don't want to, as they come around and top up your tea cup for you if you're running low.



Then they bring out the main attraction - 3 tiers of sandwiches and desserts.





Then onto scones with cream and jam...


And when you think you can't eat anymore, they bring out the Battenberg. But don't worry, as you can take away anything you don't eat in a little pink Sketch doggy bag for later.

Before we left I obviously had to do the obligatory bathroom selfie Sketch is famous for (loosely).

I must admit that I do judge a place by its loos, and Sketch doesn't disappoint on aesthetic. Although once inside the pods, they do feel a bit like glorified portaloo.
