Sunday baking: Quick vegan brownies

WARNING: these don't make the most attractive brownies, however, they contain no dairy, gluten or artificial sugar. They taste pretty good too.

What you will need:

- 1/2 cup of any smooth nut butter (almond butter in my opinion tastes the best, but this time I decided to use peanut butter)
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 3 ripe bananas
- optional: cinnamon, berries or another other extras you think would work

Step 1 to creating these 3 ingredient simple brownies is:

Preheat the oven to 185 - 200°C
Step 2
Gently heat nut butter on the hob or in the microwave and put aside to be added to the mix.
Step 3
Add the cocoa power to a large mixing bowl.

Step 4

Crush the bananas with a fork and add to the cocoa powder (the mixture can be added to a food processor too if you want a smoother batter).

Step 5

Stir in the nut butter.

Step 6

Mix together with a wooden spoon - or food processor, whichever you prefer.

Step 7

Add to a greased/silicone loaf tin.

Step 8
Put in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.

Step 9
Leave to cool and top with fruit or your favourite toppings (note that it will look darker than a usual brownie because of the lack of flour).

Step 10
Enjoy!

Have you ever tried anything similar? Let me know your thoughts!
