L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Exclusive Nudes: Julianne's nude

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Exclusive Nudes -  Around £8.19

I've been wanting to give this range a go for a while now, but I am always extremely fussy with nude lipsticks as my complexion is so pale. However, with the current 3 for 2 offer at Boots I went a bit crazy on the make-up front - when do I not?- and decided to give these a whirl. The thing that drew me in was the 'tailored' colours towards different complexions. I went for the Julianne, as this was one for the paler complexions and seemed to complement my cool colourings quite well (I also went for the Colour Match foundation in C1 too - but that's a whole different story). I would say the colour was the most pink-coloured out of the range but it is actually described as 'barely peach' -  which is not usually a colour I would go for, but after a few wears I've come to love wearing it.

I really like the consistency - not quite as much as the Soap & Glory lipstick I spoke about a while back - but it's still very smooth.  I would say the downside is that it is a lipstick that doesn't mix well with chapped lips; it accentuates the fact they are dry, so a good lip balm is an essential (I highly recommend the Palmer's Coco Butter lip-balm as mentioned in my Winter Favourites).

The range of nudes in the collection all seem to be well thought out, and I'm more than certain there would be something for everyone. I would recommend the range to someone like me, who is scared of nudes or just doesn't quite know what colour exactly to choose - as the 'hard work' is essentially done for you.

I'm really tempted to try the reds next, what do you think? Watch this space...

I love a good nude and this looks great! L'oreal definitely don't get enough recognition for how great their lipsticks are x
